Gulf Coast Connection!
Today, I met a guy at church named Ryan. Ryan lived in Longbeach, Mississippi until Hurricane Katrina hit; his family moved out right before the storm came through. Since his neighborhood and home is now in ruins, he will be staying in this area for about a year.
We decided to start a website to help teens displaced by the hurricane connect with their friends who are also displaced. So, he and I created a Blogger account to set this up.
The website url is http://gulfcoastconnect.blogspot.com. Anyone who has been displaced by the hurricane can send us an email at gulfcoastconnect@gmail.com with their name, information, contact email, and a picture if they wish. Then, we’ll post their info on the site.
I’ll be setting up a search engine on the blog so that visitors can find their friends.
